My Latest Thoughts on Pandemic Vaccines & Treatments

Vaccination

Hello Reader,

On the vaccines, there is a mix of good news and bad news. Early results of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines appear to be even better than we'd initially hoped. They have had a much higher success rate than predicted and have overall been fairly safe, of course with some exceptions, in the thousands of study participants who've been inoculated with them (mostly muscle soreness and fevers that some have experienced). I favor Pfizer and Moderna over the one from Johnson & Johnson because these vaccines don't include the virus in their formulations, making them less likely than other vaccines to trigger fibro flares.

My Concerns?

  1. Not enough diversity among test subjects. The Pfizer and Moderna studies did not include pregnant women and had relatively few people over 65. I suspect this may be because they cherry picked study participants who were more likely to have safer, more effective outcomes.
  2. Absence of fertility studies. I'm not seeing long-term studies being conducted to assess concerns that have been raised on potential fertility issues. If issues such as this aren't looked for, they aren't going to be found even if present. So the statement "we've seen no evidence…" is basically meaningless.
  3. Inadequate responses to other concerns. Instead of properly addressing the public's questions and concerns, I'm too often seeing responses like "there's no clear evidence of [fill in the blank]." Again, that might be more comforting if vaccine makers actually did the research to examine these questions.

A Good Night's Sleep May Improve Effectiveness of Pandemic Vaccine

Sleep is critical for optimizing immune function. One of the most powerful ways to immune suppress an animal is to sleep deprive it. Meanwhile, studies have shown that vaccines are more likely to result in immunity if you have a good night sleep for a few nights before and after. So get your eight hours of shuteye each night. My new edition of From Fatigued to Fantastic! will teach you how! One caution: Buy the book either new hardcopy or Kindle, and NOT from "other sellers" (which Amazon will offer), or you are likely to get the old yellow cover edition instead of the new green cover. Which is, by the way, FANTASTIC!!!;-)

Fluvoxamine May Prevent Clinical Deterioration in Pandemic Patients

A study done at Washington University, my old alma mater, and published in the Journal of the AMA (JAMA), showed dramatic protective effects of a common medication called Luvox in people infected by the pandemic. This medication is used as a unique antidepressant in people with obsessive-compulsive disorder. Although quite safe for short-term use, it has unique infection protective properties that may not be seen with other antidepressants. In the treatment group, there were ZERO deaths. But it has a major drawback… It's dirt cheap!

If You've Been Looking for the Vitamin Powder

The Energy Revitalization System™ continues to be on back order with sellers all over the world. We are hoping it will be available again in late March. In the meantime, Dr. T recommends taking the Alive!® Pea Shake Vanilla Multivitamin Drink Mix (dairy free!), ViraPro™ (take 1 a day), and Jigsaw Health Magnesium® (take 1-2 a day) until it is back. We will announce in the newsletter as soon as the Energy Revitalization System™ is back.

Do be aware: As multivitamins have a lot of components, many of the better brands are now also going out of stock because of the virus. It's good to consider getting a few month's supply.
