Dr T, Are the symptoms of OverDrive Adrenaline similar to UnderActive Adrenaline? Are the treatments similar? Or Overdrive is best with adaptogenic herb and UnderActive suits with adding cortisol treatment? And for someone with limited budget for testing, do you still recommend going for a saliva testing or self test may also be possible? Thanks for your help.

Answer

Do you mean overactive vs underactive adrenals (vs adrenaline)? The Adaptogenics like ashwagandha and Phos Ser are best used if cortisol is higher than we'd like (eg- if people are wide awake at bedtime) and the adrenal support/cortisol if levels are suboptimal (usually in the AM). Too low in the am and too high at night is often found in the same person.
