Help Dr. Teitelbaum! I have eye floaters and don't know what is causing them.

Answer

First you have to see an Opthalmologist/eye doctor to rule out a worrisome cause and to see if they have an idea of to the source. If they say they don't know, but not a problem, especially if many look like threads and some spherical(vs all being spherical), some people have found that being on the antifungal diflucan 200 mg a day for 6 weeks decreases the # of floaters. But again, need to defer here to your physician.
