PEA Improves Pain Scores in Nerve Discomfort
PEA supplements (palmitoylethanolamide), which have been used to decrease microglial activation (often called brain pain, which is common in fibromyalgia),has now been found to be helpful for supporting nerve health for those with high sugars.
In the placebo-controlled study, PEA supplements were given to people with nerve discomfort who had scored themselves 4.7 on a pain scale of 1-10. After eight weeks of 300 mg PEA twice daily, their reported pain had dropped by an average of 64%.
So good news for this coming Novermber's National Diabetes Month :-)
