Relief From Brain Pain
Pain is your body’s way of signaling that something needs urgent attention. When pain becomes chronic, the brain amplifies it in an effort to keep you aware—this is known as "Brain Pain." It involves complex processes like microglial activation, spinal cord windup, and small fiber neuropathy (SFN), all of which not only intensify pain but also make it more difficult to relieve.
Unfortunately, most doctors—aside from a small percentage of pain specialists—aren’t even aware that Brain Pain exists. Yet research clearly shows its role in nearly every type of chronic pain. Addressing the root causes of pain is essential. But in addition, here are two simple yet highly effective ways to calm the brain’s role in chronic pain:
1. PEA Healthy Inflammation Response
During times of intense stress and distress, our bodies produce a special molecule called PEA (Palmitoylethanolamide). Dozens of studies have shown that PEA significantly improves nearly all types of chronic pain. PEA Healthy Inflammation Response is a special supplement form of PEA that provides enhanced absorption, an issue that has prevented previous formulations from maximizing PEAs benefits. Allow 2–3 months for the full effects to appear, since it addresses deep-seated nerve and brain-related pain. Benefits can be seen with as little as 600 mg a day, though key pain experts recommend 1,200 mg daily for the first month, followed by 2,400 mg a day for the next two months. After three months you'll have an idea of how to adjust dosage for optimal benefits.
2. Low-Dose Naltrexone (LDN)
LDN is a safe, non-toxic and inexpensive drug that helps regulate a dysfunctional immune system. It reduces pain, and fights inflammation. Below is a recommended regimen for relieving Brain Pain.
- Take 3 mg at night (higher doses reduce effectiveness).
- Cannot be used with narcotic pain medications.
- Research shows it helps calm microglial activation and reduce many types of pain.
- Works best at doses below 4.5 mg per night.
Both treatments require 2 to 3 months for full effect and can be safely combined with each other and most pain medications—except for naltrexone, which cannot be taken with narcotics.
