How Do I Stop Ocular Migraines

Published: May 18, 2026

Q&A with Dr. T

Question:

After many years with CFS, one of my main symptoms continues to be having ocular migraines [a condition that causes temporary vision disturbance—like flashing light or blind spots—that typically lasts 30-60 minutes]. I have been told it is a harmless stress response. However it causes really intense anxiety and distress. Do you have any advice for me please? Thank you so much for all that you do!

Answer:

Ocular migraines can certainly be distressing. Once you have been evaluated to rule out anything worrisome (sounds like that’s been done), I would add the Energy Revitalization Drink Mix for the magnesium and other nutrients it has, which can decrease retinal artery spasm. I'd also consider Adrenaplex, which can decrease drops in your blood sugar level that can be a trigger for ocular migraines. These can be found at EndFatigue.com and most health food stores.

Hope this is helpful.
