Exhaustion & Reproductive Hormones (Video)

People reaching their mid-forties often experience a drop in reproductive hormones such as estrogen, progesterone and testosterone. Unfortunately, standard blood testing often misses this abnormality until 5-12 years into the deficiency. Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum explains how bioidentical hormone replacement can help when this condition develops. (Time to watch: 1 minute)

This is part 7 of a new 14-part series from Dr. T in which he provides short, one-minute videos summarizing key points in how to overcome fatigue and recover the energy you once had. You can watch the entire 14-part series at EndFatigue.

Hair Growth Part 2

Woman Massaging Her Head

Last week I sent you a newsletter on the topic of hair loss in fibromyalgia. After I did that, one of my favorite holistic physicians and a dear friend of mine, Lev Linkner MD, sent me the below additional tips on helping hair to regrow. So I'm sharing them with you here. In the earlier newsletter, I talked about how the psyche can powerfully direct the immune system. I would not be surprised that it can also influence where blood flow and other growth factors are directed. With that possibility, here are a few simple additional tips from Dr. Linkner that might be helpful.

Taking Multivitamins Associated With Improved Cognition in Seniors

Woman Taking Vitamins

In a study on cognition, researchers gave 2,262 people of average age 73 either a daily multivitamin, daily cocoa extract, or both for three years. After three years, those who took the daily multivitamin showed significantly improved overall cognition, episodic memory, and executive function. Those who took the cocoa extract showed no significant benefit.

Q&A With Dr. T

Question:

Is the new Energy Revitalization Drink Mix vegan?

Answer:

Yes, pretty much so. Especially if the you're comfortable eating a few drops of honey or wearing a wool scarf ;-) I'll explain...

Now that I've removed the whey protein from the original formula, the only thing in the powder that is animal sourced is the vitamin D. The vitamin D used comes from the tiniest amount of the natural oil that coats animal wool called lanolin. Importantly, obtaining this does not harm the animal whatsoever. And the amount of lanolin in the powder is so small that you could probably get far more of it from wearing a wool scarf or sweater than you would from the vitamin powder.

So, the good news? Our new vitamin powder is pretty much vegan (and for those who've asked, it is therefore also kosher and halal :-)

Love and Blessings
