Should meat-intake be restricted after a TIA?

Hi Dr. T. My mother suffered from TIA stroke and she has now almost restored her mobility. Her doctor advised her to eat meat only twice a week (even fish). But my mother can't tolerate a meal without meat. I don't think I would agree with her doctor. Is it bad for a sufferer like my mom to avoid meat? Meat is good especially to stabilize the sugar level of the body, right Doc?

Answers

I need to defer to her physician, as there may be other factors involved. However, I do not usually restrict fish intake in my patients who have had a TIA.

Love and Blessings,
