What are the symptoms of low hormones?
What are the symptoms of low hormones? I am 65 years old, and for the last year, my energy level has went way down, I am depressed a lot, I still have night sweats, I am always tired and could sleep around the clock. I have to push myself to go out with my friends. My home is being neglected and my appetite is decreased. I have had all the blood tests and my doctor cannot find anything wrong. I am also on Prozac. Previously up to a year ago, I was full of energy, exercised all the time, kept my home spotless, loved to get into any one of my talents, such as writing, painting, sewing, etc. I have no enthusiasm for anything but watching TV and sleeping. Also I have always taken care of myself and good health is important to me. I don't visit the doctor or take a lot of drugs. I saw an ad on TV regarding low hormones and I have every one of the symptoms. Please help me.

This is a very broad area. I would recommend my book "From Fatigued to Fantastic" which I think you'll find very helpful as well as free articles at Vitality101, which discusses this issue (there are many hormones and each is different, though you may want to focus initially on the low thyroid and low testosterone articles. You also need to be checked by a physician to rule out worrisome causes.
