Neuropathic-like Pain

I have neuropathic like pain in my feet, legs, hands, arms and face and it is life altering. I have both CFS and FM. I have had an EMG and a skin biopsy for small fiber neuropathy. All came back normal. Do you have any suggestions as to what this is coming from? All the docs I have seen so far have no answers.

Answer

If it is pain to light touch, it may be allodynia. In these cases, I use the same treatment as for neuropathy, but add the medications Namenda or amantidine (both NMDA receptor antagonists) if needed. See Pain Free 1-2-3 for more info.
