Are there safe chemicals that can be used in a hot tub?

Published: March 10, 2013

We have a hot tub. I love to sit in it because it helps relax and warm my muscles. I would use it more but I am afraid I would be absorbing the chemicals we use to keep it clean. Are there safe chemicals that can be used? What are they? I really enjoy the hot tub for pain relief.

I would use Chlorine over bromine, but cleaning with ultraviolet is best if this is an option.
